My Tough Topics line of books was born after I took a puppetry class at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with Blair Thomas. I discovered that while my puppetry abilities weren’t fabulous, my ability to tell a story that no one wants to hear was quite good. My first book, I Gotta Feed the Cat is a dementia story about how difficult it can be to recognize your parent’s health problems when you live far away. I am currently working on The Talk. You know what it’s about. I cover everything from soup to nuts. Pun intended.
This is a picture book which shows the problem of dealing with a parent with dementia from afar.
